China Warns of Investment Bubble in Humanoid Robotics Sector
China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has raised alarms about the rapid expansion of the humanoid robotics industry, cautioning investors against potential bubble risks. Over 150 manufacturers operate in the sector, yet mass adoption remains elusive despite a 26% surge in the Solactive China Humanoid Robotics Index this year.
The government plans to mitigate risks through technology sharing, R&D support, and pilot programs by 2025. National standards and testing infrastructure are being developed to ensure SAFE commercial deployment. Humanoid robotics is one of six key growth sectors under China's current five-year economic plan.
